Invitation to join the new ICP Omniculturalism Discussion Group!

What is the Omniculturalism discussion group?

We are a virtual group (via Zoom) where members come together to read and discuss chapters in Fathali Moghaddam’s 2024 book The Psychology of Multiculturalism, Assimilation, and OmniculturalismMoghaddam argues for the necessity to find the similarities and commonalities among us if we are to unite on an international scale to address the multiple global crises that face humanity today.  His book examines the psychological underpinnings of omniculturalism and its ability to manage issues and conflicts.

Who can join the Omniculturalism group?

Any ICP member who is of good standing (i.e., have paid their 2025 ICP dues) is eligible to join the group.

How does the group function?

We meet once a month to read each chapter in the book.  Everyone is expected to do the reading. Specific members will be assigned in advance to lead the discussion of each chapter. The practical logistics of the group will be discussed at the first organizational meeting so that in the end, everyone will have a common agreement and understanding of how the group operates and any accompanying protocol.  Information on how to access the book will also be provided.

When does the group start?

We are aiming to have our first meeting in September this year, and no later than October.
