Personal Statement:
I chose to run for ICP Director-at-Large to make a difference in various ways. From street protests to academic conventions, I believe it’s my duty as a global citizen to ensure a healthy, enriching, and safe future for all. This includes highlighting the incredible work ICP members are doing worldwide. Our community is dedicated to promoting human rights, wellbeing, justice, and peace. The climate emergency is a significant challenge, and many of us recognize the need for climate justice at the core of our responses. I aim to learn as much as possible from others, showing my commitment to making informed decisions based on knowledge, not opinion.

My skills include listening, analyzing, and thinking strategically and creatively. As research lead and member of REIC, I’ve developed and implemented research strategies through genuine collaboration with colleagues, bringing their voices to institutional leaders. I’ve also promoted UKRN’s messages on research transparency and integrity. I can consider multiple viewpoints, have an international perspective, and work well with individuals and groups.

My work with CoARA involves advocating for the reform of research assessment to better recognize and reward openness and transparency in research. This role allows me to engage with a broader international community, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and driving positive change in research culture.
