The Merry Bullock Graduate Student International Research and Leadership Award

This award is presented annually to a graduate student in psychology who has demonstrated excellence in research and who has a solid record of international leadership and professional service. The award is named in honor of Dr. Merry Bullock, who has dedicated her career to leadership, professional service, and research in the field of international psychology. Dr. Bullock has shown strong dedication to supporting and mentoring the next generation of leaders and researchers.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award, the student must:
- Be a full-time graduate student in psychology.
- Have completed at least one year of graduate coursework.
- Have submitted a research paper that is currently under review, accepted and forthcoming, or recently published (past 12 months)..
- Demonstrated commitment to international leadership and professional service.
Award
The award recipient will receive a prize of $250 and will be invited to present their research at a conference or webinar.
Application Process
To apply for the award, applicants must submit the following:
- A research paper that is currently under review for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
- A letter of recommendation from a faculty member who can attest to the student’s research skills and commitment to international leadership and professional service.
- A statement of why the student is deserving of the award.

Selection Criteria
The award recipient will be selected by a committee of distinguished international psychologists. The committee will consider the following factors in making their selection:
- The quality of the research paper.
- The student’s commitment to leadership and professional service.
- The student’s potential to make significant contributions to the field of international psychology.
