You are invited to submit work for presentation at ICP2022
The ICP Conference Organizing Committee is excited to showcase Lightning Talk Panels and Poster Sessions that are a little different from “business as usual” – That is why you will see that the abstract submission instructions (a) allow a 500 word abstract; (b) ask you to answer a series of targeted questions (e.g. “describe the bottom-line conclusion from your presentation in 1-2 sentences”; “tell the listener what your ideas/results/conclusions suggest for moving forward”).
All accepted presentations will be published in an online ICP2022 Proceedings that will be published after the conference.
Lightning Talks
Lightning talks are 5-minute, pre-recorded oral presentations that will be organized into panels addressing ICP2022’s 5 themes:
- Climate Justice
- Health and Human Rights
- Gender Equality
- Decolonization/Indigenization
- Displaced Peoples.
The goal of these talks is to provide a “conversation starter” – to present your work to generate discussion and interaction. Talks may propose an idea or an area in need of research, or may discuss a single study or series of studies of original research. Talks may be accompanied by up to 5 Power-Point slides. Each talk should begin with a 1-2 sentence statement of the author(s)’ central point or question.
Lightning Talk sessions will include a live online moderated discussion. Lightning Talk Submission Requirements (link).
Posters
Posters are text/graphical presentations that will be available online for participants to view. Poster authors will be able to interact with conference attendees in scheduled “zoom rooms” to promote interaction and discussion.
Posters can be on any topic.
Posters can describe an idea or area of research, present methodological innovations, or present original research.
